Massively underwhelming experience here. Falafel left a foul taste in my mouth after eating it. Only reason i ate it is because i hadn't eaten all day and every other vegan place was closed and it's a crime to throw away food. The falafel itself? Can't say anything about how it tasted as it was pretty much only cabbage with waaay too much chili sauce of the cheapest kind. None of their sauces are homemade. It was sweet and chemical tasting. I ordered a falafel with pickled beetroot which just wasn't present. When i asked where it is the girl who prepared it said they didn't update the menu and so she just decided for me that more cabbage instead would be a fine idea... there were many bites of just sauce, boring chinese cabbage and horrible cheap sauce. Besides all that this place is vegan but they clearly don't care whatsoever for sustainability. Plastic cutlery, styrofoam bowls, plastic wrappers and sheets...all one-time use and too much of it. Had to kindly give back the 5 paper tissues that came with the order. Would gladly give 1 star. I've tried many falafels in my life and this has got to be the single most disappointing one of all... by far. I actually had to get some nuts i had in my backpack afterwards to wash away the persistent chemical taste of the sauce. Don't go here.
So yummy, great ambience. Kind smiley staff. English menu.
I really have to recommend this place as we stayed in kiew for about 3 or 4 days, but finally back and back to this beautiful cozy bistro with friendly staff and a great selection of vegan arta healthy almost food. wraps, pitas, burger, very tasty kartoffeln. they also have some desserts, unfortunately these I can not recommend, not very sweet and taste not as expected. portions are decent and eating does not feel hard to be, even thought it is fast eating, I really appreciate that. prices are a bit high for kiew I think, but still it is affordable and definitely worth the price they get for this price it is worth
I tried falafel in pita, shawarma and samosa. I barely could call it falafel the pattiy itself made of lentils. Other filling is cabbage, tomato, carrot, pickled olives and kind of vinaigratte souce. I don't thing, that the recepie developer tried even once the real falafel. Shawarma is filled with seitan and same mix as falafel, that makes it same taste of pickled olives and vinaigrette souce and not shawarma. Samosa was very dry and tasteless.
