I had some of the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten brought by really lovely, friendly staff. I had pot au feu (poisson) and it was remarkable. I liked it so much I’m going to try and make it tonight…

7 of us had 3 courses and plenty of wine for a shade under €300. We could forgive them dropping coke over 2 of us while serving the drinks, but having to wait 40 minutes to order starters was not great. The staff lacked the capacity to be attentive so ordering drinks and getting them to bring what we ordered took a lot of effort. To be fair the starters were good, plentiful portions of salads and the fish soup was very tasty. The St Jacques (scallops) starter had very flavoursome marinated salmon, but the scallops sliced so thinly that you could barely taste them so if you are a fan of scallops, this is not the dish for you have the main course of scallops on a stick served with pasta. The main course mussels were plentiful, but small in size and a little over cooked. The Roquefort sauce was excellent thick and creamy. The steaks were a good size, served with chips and salad, but quite tough and chewy. There was a huge variety of desserts well presented in large glasses and plentiful in portion size tasty too. Overall there were some great aspects to our meal let down by poor service and some dishes that were quite good rather than great. Reasonable value but nothing to get excited about.

Full of locals after the market, fantastic selection of seafood, accommodating for families and most importantly, moules au pineal and chevron cut chips to die for best meal we had in our two weeks on Oléron

We based on internet reviews to choose this restaurant. We were very disappointed. to increase its business, this restaurant has set up a reception tent that can accommodate 50 people. You have the view on 2 borge faces (dark grey), a 3rd face on the parking lot and the 4th on the preparation of seafood. the atmosphere is very noisy and the servers don't know the job. So, a general impression of canteen. Where is the atmosphere promised in the opinions of friendliness and little nice restaurant. served wine already open (unlike regulation), seafood insipid, the waitress prepares trays without hygiene precaution. St. Jacob's pike. I put two because the red buttered spine was good, otherwise I would have put one.
