Alpine Inn - La Crosse

The staff was excellent, and the location was ideal. We enjoyed a fantastic live cover band that played at just the right volume, allowing us to carry on our conversations without any issues. The outdoor area is also very inviting and adds a nice touch to the experience.

We stopped by this tavern after visiting Granddad's Bluff and were immediately greeted by the friendly bartenders upon entering. The staff remained attentive despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon. They offer a nice selection of craft domestic tap beers in addition to full bar service. For lunch, we began with the Blu Balls, which we tried purely because of the name! These were delicious chicken balls stuffed with Swiss cheese and diced ham, then breaded and deep-fried. For our main courses, I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger with Brew City Fries, while my husband opted for the Bacon Cheeseburger with tater tots. The meat comes from Holmen Meat Locker, and the burgers were fantastic! We also noticed the pizzas coming out of the kitchen, which looked and smelled amazing. We'll definitely be returning to this beloved tavern!

We had a wonderful experience at Alpine Inn! As part of our mother-daughter road trip, we plan to return at least once more before we head out. The cheese curds were among the best we've ever tasted, and both the pizza and bacon cheeseburgers were outstanding! The customer service was excellent as well. Plus, the outdoor view was breathtaking. We enjoyed our meal in the enclosed patio, which was very cozy!

Great service, awesome pizza burger and beer batter fries and loved the decor! Busy place! Look forward to coming back on our trip next next year!

Came for wing Wednesday and they have an amazing deal. Not only that but the wings they have were excellent, meaty and crisp. Definitely worth the visit for the food and atmosphere!!
