I recommend wearing good shoes as there are steps and elevated stones that need to be climbed and usually slipped. I've seen children and older adults make the path without problem. All the way up is uphill but it's well signaled. The landscape during the walk and upon arrival is worth it.
Beautiful place. Amazing landscape. That is very cold water. December 2023. The circuit is moderate. You don't have to have a good physical condition.
La Cascada Grande is a beautiful waterfall located in the Natural Reserve La Cascada in Santa Rosa de Calamuchita. To reach the waterfall you must walk along a path. The path is well marked and although the terrain can present some roots and slippery parts there is no difficulty. It is important to note that you need a good physical condition and proper trekking shoes, not Crocs, sandals, and comfortable clothing to enjoy the landscape without worries.
It's really beautiful, super cute view of the fall of the waterfall. To keep in mind that in the moments of the afternoon a lot of people get together which makes it very difficult to climb without long rows. Arriving is very simple, except on the rise or the one that presents some difficulty but nothing impossible.
Beautiful place to go. The road has a half-defat. Go with laces for a better grip. It's worth the effort.
