We cycled from Los Reartes to Cumbrecita on the provincial route. Although we were tired, we were so happy to climb up and discover El Ceibo. This restaurant has the best views of the town, river and valley! The service was very friendly and efficient. We were allowed to sit in the restaurant with our small dog. We really enjoyed our lunch here! We appreciated the bread and olives. The agua sin gas was locally sourced which was a special touch. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. My husband loved his vegetable sorrentinos in tomato sauce (he said the flavours were nicely balanced) and I loved my vegan hamburger. It didn't come out as a burger with a bun, lettuce or vegan cheese as I expected but it was far more elegantly served 4 small lentil and vegetable patties served with a salsa on top, some delicious pumpkin puree, and a generous portion of french fries. It was filling and powered us through the long journey home. Thanks again for a delicious meal!
