This place is La Cumbrecita's founder old house. Amazing house on the edge of the mountain. A view like no other! Good coffee and good ambiance. However, it is somehow overprized. You pay for the view and the place.
I went there with family to have an afternoon snack. The view is really nice and the food was great (we had selva negra, tostado, ice cream and chocolate milk). The only two details that bothered me were that they didn't give me the check...but just told me how much I should pay and that they charge extra for credit card payments (and that wasn't announced in the menu).
If the prices were half what they are one would forgive this place as it has great ambience and a nice view. The service was fine. The pasta was good, but the Helmut Plate was pretty average for the high price, and not ‘for two’...as advertised unless the two are both light eaters.
Excellent setting! Patio seating right on the river! We felt like we were in Bavaria. We ordered the Plato Aleman . It had Lebekase, kinds of wurst, pork cotlet, perfectly prepared potatoes, a generous amount of sauerkraut and a bowl of mustard! Plenty of...food for two. I ordered a local beer craft beer to go with it. Heaven!! Absolutely the best German food we have had in Argentina!
