New York Richies - La Grande

The original New York Richies. While it may not be exactly like the original Rays in New York, it's incredibly delicious. You can't find pizza by the slice like this anymore, but they have it. The sandwiches are also tasty. I do wish they had that little fruit stamping machine like all the pizzerias in New York though. They don't sell stuffed peppers very well, but if you haven't tried them, you're really missing out. One suggestion: please put garlic powder on every table instead of garlic salt! I mentioned this in my Pendelton review, and it's just as relevant here.

The trip is definitely worth it. I drove all the way from the west side of Oregon to New York Richie's in La Grande, and it was well worth it. The pizza slice is delicious—not greasy at all—and the Italian sausage with peppers is fantastic. It's lightly spiced and bursting with flavor. The prices are very reasonable, and I always make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in town.

New York Richies is the top spot in town for delicious high-quality pizza, subs, pasta, and other incredible dishes! The prices are quite reasonable too!

Sandwich. Probably the Ony place on the dry side of the state that knows what a good philly sandwich is. Consistent quality food and great service.

Good food. We enjoy New York Richie's variety of hot and cold sandwiches and New York style pizza. The Philly cheesesteak and pastrami sandwiches are very good. You can buy pizza by the slice here. If you are a vegetarian, they have eggplant parmesan sandwiches too.
