Laura Matteo are some of the best people/business owners I’ve ever met. They served us the most reasonably priced refreshing drinks in Tulum and the bacon pizza was absolutely delicious. We came back the following day because the vibes were so warming and positive, just had the absolute best time hanging out. They even offered me some insect repellant that’s how sweet this amazing couple is! I would love to go back to Tulum just to hang out at this bar restaurant again. Best wishes from Florida!
We have been coming to this restaurant for years. The fettuccini is made in house. I chose the mushroom sauce with white wine and a touch of cream. It was fantastic! My husband had the 4 cheese pizza and it was also delicious. The tiramisu was also yummy. The owners are a husband-wife team that clearly care about the people who enter their doors. They even offered us complimentary limoncello after our meal. This is also one of the few restaurants that is reasonably priced in the Tulum beach zone.
The sign on the main drag of Tulum Beach says Best Pizza on Earth. It's a bold claim and perhaps one that challenges our memory more than our credulity. However, our capricciosa and 4 formaggi were delicious. Crispy, thin base, toppings to the edge of the pizza and no skimping on the toppings either. The owner says the flour is from Naples. Who am I to doubt it but my wife and I usually leave the crusts because there is too much of it. Not so here, we didn't leave a morsel and not because of gluttony. Very friendly staff, lively music and great atmosphere. If you want a change from Mexican cuisine on your holiday you could do a lot worse than try La Onda.
We fancied a quick bite, tired from a long day and looking for a bit of comfort food. A very friendly Italian man met us at the bar and explained that the pizzas are made with Neapolitan dough in the open fire pizza oven. The pizza dough turned out to be thin, crispy and can safely be called the better kind! Delicious pizza, friendly service, no long waiting times.
