Cabaret Cafe - La Jolla

Bomb spot! Owner is always super friendly and down and the food is great! Really cool and homey mood, lots of free space and some community events now and them. Sometimes the owner also offers some samples of upcoming dishes. I also really enjoy the Fata Breakfast

I thought of a fast coffee and had the chance to meet the owner who was very cool and engaged. The latte I ordered was great and the atmosphere was cozy. I was super impressed that the owner took so much time to talk to me even though his tea provider was there. Speaking, I'm not a big tea drinker, but listening to her conversation convinced me that if I, that would be the place to go. That was an intense tea talk that the two did.

I have been living in the area for years, but only recently began to regularly go to Cafe Cabaret because of its amazing service and great food. Your Chai-Tee-Lattes are for dying! I couldn't find anything like her in San Diego, and I have to say it because they care about preparation and love what they do! In any case where I have and will take friends again.

Sweet coffee shop, good food. Friendly owner and so secretly; They don't pay immediately, feels like home. Bonus points for outside Land Radio Station!

Cafe Cabaret is an awesome cafe. There is some hit and miss stuff that keeps me from dropping down the 5th star but it's definitely a good cafe to keep on your to-go-to list. Atmosphere is cute inside and there is patio seating facing the side street with a little fountain. It gets very warm inside during the summer. What really makes them special is the sheer effort you see them put into the menu and the venue. They clearly care about making it work and even though service has been spotty from time to time, it being family run makes that seem okay. The menu is vast and they have specialty foods which I can get nowhere else. From the lebanese menu, the traditional breakfast menu, occasional buffets ... man they have gyros! No one else around here has gyros. And CREPES! You can get delicious sweet or savory crepes for breakfast! That said the coffee is super hit and miss. The mochas are powder and a little off target compared to the starbucks formulas. Smoothies are decent enough but nothing to die for. I've had some blended drinks and they're tasty enough. Four stars for a business that really makes an effort.
