Coffee Cup - La Jolla

This is the top breakfast place in La Jolla. We’re eagerly anticipating the completion of the renovations!

During our visit to the San Diego area, we decided to spend the morning in La Jolla and were looking for a breakfast spot. After checking Google Maps, we randomly picked the Coffee Cup. Upon arrival on a Sunday morning, we waited for less than five minutes to get a table. We ordered a Mexican mocha, blackberry pancakes, and a Soy Chorizo scramble. Our food arrived after a reasonable wait and was beautifully presented. The taste was simply fabulous! The soy chorizo was expertly seasoned, and the pancakes were delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic breakfast and the mocha was excellent as well. The service was friendly and efficient. An added bonus is that they have outdoor seating that welcomes dogs.

The food was okay but i ordered and Mexican hot chocolate and asked about it multiple times. Never did get it ?‍ gave up and went around the corner to a coffee shop instead.
