Mary's Gourmet Salads - La Jolla

I run by this place a few times each week and have always wanted to try it. I ordered the Santa Fe and loved the proportions of ingredients. The dressing was a bit too sweet for my taste. Also, about 1/4 of the lettuce was from the core and turning brown.But the rest was great!

I was a bit disappointed this time. I ordered the Summer Breeze salad, but it had very little chicken and sunflower seeds, and there was no avocado. I had to add avocado myself once I got home. For a $20 salad, I expected more.

I absolutely love Mary's! I've dined here multiple times, and the salads (and the cookies!) are consistently delicious and satisfying, leaving me feeling great about my meal. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. It's a fantastic place that I highly recommend!

I am genuinely obsessed with these salads! The quality, flavor, and combination of ingredients are all top-notch. I had to take off one star because the price is just outrageous—I can't justify spending $25 on a plastic takeout salad. However, they’re so delicious that I treat myself occasionally. That being said, paying $5.50 extra for tofu really stings! AH!

The most delicious salads ever! The flavor combinations and thoughtfulness behind every detail really do speak for themselves. Healthy, delicious food with the nicest people. Definitely check it out!
