Mystery Cafe Dinner Theater - La Jolla

We visited this restaurant on a whim and it ended up being the perfect spot to celebrate our five-year anniversary! As self-proclaimed "steak lovers," we let Google guide us when our usual favorite was closed for the night. This gem, located right on the edge of Balboa Park, exceeded our expectations. The steak was delicious, the service was fantastic, and I can't forget to mention the "Ron Swanson vibe" with the leather chairs. I also discovered a newfound love for martinis thanks to the amazing blueberry lemon drop martini I had. The only downside is that this place isn't exactly budget-friendly, but it's definitely worth every penny. We really appreciated Chef Dave's personal greeting at the end of our meal. We will definitely be back on a weekend for live music in the bar!

It's my first time here, and I was invited to dinner. The steak is quite decent for the price and meets my expectations. The atmosphere reminds me of the Godfather film, with its chairs, windows, and chandeliers. I definitely need to try their appetizers; the wings are excellent. I recommend checking out the bone marrow as well. Overall, it was a good experience.
