Rigoberto's Taco Shop - La Jolla

The salsas and chiles here are incredible! The food is good overall; I tried the Adobada, which was just okay, but the Asada was fantastic. I'm giving it a rating of 4.5. Food: 5/5.

I typically evaluate Mexican restaurants based on the flavor of their beans. Fortunately, I had just enough for a bean and cheese burrito, as well as a gallon of petrol (not served there, of course), and it was the best bean and cheese burrito I have ever tasted! Situated just one block from the beach in beautiful La Jolla, life felt truly great. I also got to visit my hometown and felt revitalized after attending Torrey Pines Church, where I was blessed with an inspiring sermon and had the chance to relive some wonderful memories.

During our vacation, my family and I visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, our experience was not great. The place felt dirty and neglected, with leftover food on all the tables from previous diners. The food itself was also disappointing; I was surprised to see such high ratings for this establishment. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5.

I just came out of the Pavilions store in La Jolla, and there was guy there selling tamales out of a plastic cooler. I'm familiar with some of the regulations regarding these types of tamale vendors and asked him if he had a license to sell those tamales. He said he didn't have one with him because he works for Rigaberto'son La Jolla Blvd. But not only are sellers supposed to have a license, the cooler boxs (or any container) is supposed to havea a sign, or have printed, on the cooler, that tells consumers the address of exactly where the tamales we made. He had nothing on him cooler. He said he worked out of Rigaberto's at7345 La Jolla Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037. Clear Dept. of Health violation, and dangerous for the public.

Just Don't! If I could give zero stars I would. The health code A in the windo is a lie..there is no date or official certification. The vegetables are open with flies. The cook was eating and drinking in the kitchen. The tables had gross food scraps. This establishment was filthy and disgusting!!!!Food: 1/5
