Western Steak Burger - La Jolla

This was a fantastic spot for an excellent steakburger, and it's disappointing that it has now been closed for a few years.

Closed. I'm really sad; it was my favorite spot in San Diego.

Looking for a sure sign of great, honest food? Just check out a place where local police officers gather for their lunch breaks every day! While most people head to Western Steakburger for their burgers, I can't help but crave their gyros. Sure, there might be better gyros elsewhere, but when you live so close to delicious food like this, it's hard to resist. (Pro tip: they sell gyros by the pound, so if you're not in the mood for a meal there, you can take some home—though I'd advise against taking a bath with them.) On the downside, their prices seem a bit steep for what you get, and the cash-only policy can be a hassle. However, the owner and staff are so friendly that I don’t mind paying a little extra.

It's ridiculous how TASTY this random place is. Wild West Burger will take your taste buds to town and back. I find myself critizing burgers with this place as my criterion and I'm imagining myself hugging a lifesize burger right now.

Simply the best I can eat 2 deluxe burger from this place chocolate shake gyro plate nothing wrong with this place but wish they had a soda dispenser oh yeah cash only.
