Quite close to the historic city center we accidentally bumped into this relatively small restaurant and were afterwards more than delighted of the encounter. The food was absolutely delicious and I liked the fact that they gave the traditional canary dishes a somewhat modern touch. They have a fixed menu but they also offer the specialities of the day. There is also a menu in English but we kinda trusted the lady there and took her recommendations. For starters we had the tortilla and the melted cheese with honey and the we tried one of the specialities of the day-tuna bathed in a paprika/olive sauce served with crispy batatas. Really good although the omelette and the cheese somewhat sweet for our taste. Good sized portions and a really good price especially when comparing to the quality. Really attentive service as well. For those of you traveling with a child they also offer babyseats. We will definitely come again.
I have been to this restaurant a few times and took three friends there last night. They loved everything, the food, service and decor. An added bonus was the 1970s background music eg Eagles, BeeGees, nothing too heavy or loud. A special evening, excellent food every time.
We have family who live in Tenerife and this is their go to place. 9 of us went for dinner. The food is freshly cooked and amazing. The menu is tapas style but there are a few dishes that are main course size. It was perfect to choose a few dishes and share to start. The flavours are wonderful and the service very friendly. Everything we ate was divine. The main we all shared was slow cooked pork knuckle with crispy crackling and a flavoursome tomato/red pepper sauce. It just fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. It was served with the most creamy mash potato imaginable.....a perfect accompaniment. There is a good choice of wine and the desserts are lovely too. The younger people in the party particularly enjoyed the chocolate soup. Can’t wait to go back.
