He estado allí dos veces.
A 2 for 1 margarita offer was just the ticket for a post whale shark snorkel on a beautiful afternoon. This quintessentially charming restaurant beckoned with its Baja ambience and convenient location, but it is the food, margaritas and, above all, Tony, that will endear us forever to this little treasure.Seriously, the best margaritas we have ever had, and it was just the house margarita on a twofer! They must have picked the limes from the sunny side of the tree AFTER we ordered the drinks. We're from San Diego, so we are no stranger to margaritas either. Ceviche so fresh I swear I recognized it from snorkeling, and my hair was still wet! You can't go wrong, and if you are lucky enough to meet Tony, take his advice (except on continuing to order margaritas all day long!).The most amazing part of the experience was that they had an opportunity to benefit from my personal carelessness but they went so far out of the way to protect us and help us, even though they didn't know if we would ever find out about it. Tony and the staff there have restored my faith in humanity and the kindness of strangers. Ambience, food, drink and great people...Isn't that what you are looking for when you are traveling?
Our AirBNB hosts recommended this place for authentic baja style fish tacos, and we were not disappointed. We showed up around noon, and the place was virtually empty except for a couple of staff who were setting up the fish taco fixings on top of an outdoor bar top. It appeared that there was a much larger inside restaurant area as well, but it was not open when we went in, so this was very much an informal dining experience. We sat down at an outside table, and the woman behind the bar asked us how many of each kind of taco we wanted. My wife ordered 2 shrimp tacos, I ordered 4 fish tacos, and my buddy got a couple of marlin empanadas. It was "happy hour", so margaritas were 2 for 1, and 1 was just 60 pesos, so basically about $1.25 per margarita! The food took a good 20 minutes or so to prepare, so don't come here in a hurry. All the fixings were laid out on the bar top, and they were all amazing. The fish tacos were by far the best I've ever had, and the shrimp tacos were incredible as well. My friend loved the marlin empanadas too! Highly highly recommended for the tacos, but I can't speak for the larger inside restaurant.
