After meandering around La Paz (afoot) I was thirsty and hungry. I was contemplating the Fish Chips place that's just around the corner from here, but my better judgement had me investigate Nomada first. So glad! I had Huevos Estrellados, $87 mxn and a Limonada con Lavande (about $80 mxn), and both were exquisite. Beautiful presentation, striking flavors, and well prepared. Friendly staff. Nice vibe. Within walking distance of the Malecon, Hotel Catedral, and many other spots.
I arrived at closing time due to a delayed flight but the staff were more than happy to make me anything from the menu which was so kind of them! I had a vegetable noodle bowl and a green juice, both delicious, fresh, filling and healthy and very affordable. I hope to return again very soon! Also appreciated the compostable takeaway box and cutlery, less plastic waste :
I found Nomada when I went to DoceCuarenta for coffee. It is right across the street. There were tables outside under trees and the server greeted me with a smile. It is open for breakfast and lunch with many options for vegans, vegetarians and everyone...else. They serve fresh squeezed juices including green juices such as (Celery, kale, lemon, pineapple, cucumber, orange, parsley and lettuce). Coffee was good and they have almond and soy milk options. My teenagers enjoyed the waffles for breakfast while I had the Vegan Mexican Eggs (spiced tofu with tomato, red onion, mushrooms and spices served with a side of homemade beans). Everything was excellent. We returned a different day for lunch. My husband enjoyed the Enchiladas Verde and I had the Vegan Entomaladas with red sauce. Everything was homemade and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Staff is excellent and menu has a variety of healthy, homemade options enjoyed by locals and travelers.
Nómada is a quaint, small restaurant on Madero close to de Mayo. It is one of the few eateries in La Paz that offers great food options for vegetarians and vegans (as well as the option to add meat for meat lovers). Lots of...variety and friendly service. Food is tasty and creative.
