Steinbeck's Restaurant - La Paz

The service is very slow. they have no good customer service. we waited for food, to eat and our food was cold.

Steinbeck has a good selection of food and wine, which is all very good. there are interior and exterior seats with a view of a beautiful entrance port. the staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

10. januar we were there. the view and the service was great buuuut......i ordered the beginning of the day and they send it raw two times in order (and I can not revive the that was cooked the main kitchen called hannibal, I asked. the waiter his name.) they give me a free otopus ceviche to apologize. therefore in the putting only 2 stars, but the place is great. they should choose better cooks.

We arrived and were shown on our table, but the waiter spoke only with the member of our party, who spoke Spanish, he did not let the rest of the party feel welcome at all. the bar is right next to the table and there...where someone was smoking there and blown into the restaurant, the smoke smell was strong and was not pleasant. we have addressed this with the waiter who has been angry, hasn't given an apologies and did nothing against it. at this point we left without order, so can not comment on eating, but the service certainly left a terrible amount to wish; we will not go back and give them a second chance. from the trips on the menu, you should expect to pay about a thousand pesos per person for a 2 curs meal with drinks. Instead we went to tavernas español on the marina and had a delicious meal, cheap and with first class service. what a difference!

Make a night of it at Steinbeck’s (named after the famous author, John Steinbeck, who wrote his novella, The Pearl centered around characters from La Paz area) Our first night at...Costa Baja Resort and Spa, we enjoyed their special five-course meal with pairings. It was honestly the most memorable explosion of food flavours to have hit this sensitive palette. Michelin star meal and service? In our opinion, yes! Compliments to the Chef and wait staff for their outstanding attention to detail, service, quality, and all with live music. Cant wait to return to this incredible ‘pearl’ of BCS!
