Feedback gevenThe restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, but our experience was marred by very slow service. It took ages for us to be attended to, although the waitress apologized, explaining that it was graduation day and the staff was short-handed. We started with the Queso Fundido, which was served piping hot and had a nice, chewy texture. I ordered the soup and salad; unfortunately, the soup was served at room temperature. The salad consisted mainly of a few handfuls of iceberg lettuce, with just one cucumber slice and a sliver of purple onion. My husband ordered a crispy taco plate, but the ground beef was cold. I ended up leaving most of my meal unfinished. Overall, I don't think we'll be returning.
The service was absolutely terrible! I only saw my waitress when she took our order and when she brought out our food. Our glasses were never refilled. I ordered Mexican food, but despite asking a different waitress multiple times, we never received any tortillas. We were told repeatedly that they'd fetch our waitress, but she never returned after serving our meals. Don’t even get me started on the chips; our waitress disappeared entirely. When I spoke to the manager about the issues, she said we would be assigned another waitress, but no one ever came to help us. The kids kept complaining about being thirsty. Next time, I’ll make sure to sit at the table of the blonde waitress; she was attentive and checked on her tables six or seven times to see if they needed anything.
I visited Melanie's for the first time. The chips and salsa were tasty. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy, along with a house salad dressed with ranch. The salad and mashed potatoes were enjoyable, but unfortunately, the Chicken Fried Steak was tough and had too much breading. It shouldn't be that difficult to cut with a fork! I plan to give Melanie’s another try to see if any of the other menu items are more flavorful!
Food was good but service was ridiculous. Slow, inattentive teenagers seem like they run the place. From the ladies, margaritas were terrible.
Ordered 2 bacon cheese burgers to go on 05/12/2023. It was 30 mins till they closed. At, first when I walked into place my order the young man said the kitchen was closed. Then, he said.... Would you please wait for one moment and walked back to the kitchen. Came back and said what would you like to order? I said I wanted 2 bacon cheese burger meals Togo. He, rang up my order which was over $20.00. I then went down to the local convenient store while they were preparing my meal. Or so I thought that they were. I came back to Melanie's bar grill to pick up my Togo order. When, it hadn't yet been made. Because, the young man that rang up my order told me that they were starting to prepare my 2 burgers and that it shouldn't be much longer. Mind you, I ordered my Togo order at 9:33p.m. I returned from the store back to Melanie's at 10:07p.m. I know for a fact that I sat there waiting for my meal another 10 minutes so that would have the time at 10:17p.m.He then brings my order finally to me. I go home. Open what I thought? Was going to be this flamebroiled hamburger meal with freshly cut french fries . Needless to say it was the total opposite. The hamburger itself was a pretty good sized 1/4 lbs so the hamburger patty was a pretty good size I will give them that. But, as far as everything else the burger meat had no flavor it tasted like it was fried instead of flamebroiled the bun was wet the salad fixing were stale and the french fries were frozen packaged fries.Now, I know that I should not have assumed that the burger would be flamebroiled or that the fries were freshly cut fries. But, for as long as I waited for my meal and what I paid for it. One could only assume.The worst hamburger I've eaten in a long time. I'm going today to take back the uneaten meal to Melanie's bar and grill. I do expect to get a full refund even though the young man never offered me a receipt. They should know their own hamburgers. Right?Well, I will give an update on how they handle my situation. I will say this. It will be interesting to say the least. Wether Melanie's bar and grill is truly 100% customer satisfaction or if they refuse to give me a refund because I don't have a receipt that I was never given in the first place. I can almost bet you that this mom and pop grill will refuse to give me a refund and will tell me that I'm on my own. This is why I will give an up date to see if Melanie's bar and grill is going to stand-up and do the Right thing instead of sending me on my way one really irritated disappointed customer ?
