If you’re looking for an upscale atmosphere that has an aura of privacy from the busyness of Manila, with carefully prepared Chinese meals that have luxurious fusions, then this place will hit the spot. I give it 5-stars because one doesn’t come here just for the Chinese food. They come here for the value add of the succinct well mannered staff, the opulent decor and the small details of the service that is of a very high quality. The food. Is top notch. 9/10 in my books because of the fusions that really take the dishes to another level. I’ve barely scratched the surface of the menu so I’m excited to discover the menu at this well managed restaurant. Kudos to the managers and chefs for the well put together experience for your diners. At least the ones that notice the attention to detail of the entire business
This tine I was not able to take photos of the food as I focused mainly on the quality of the food items. And my advise to you will be, don’t waste your time on photography... enjoy the moment. It was an amazing dinner ordered so much food variety, each of which are made intricately and it does deserve praise. Our server Ralph deserves a thumbs up for providing us with excellent service. Their Dimsum is one of the best!!! Will definitely comeback!
I'm going to post the soup because it looks mesmerizing. This sums up my experience at Canton Road. Visited this restaurant a couple of times it didn't disappoint. I especially like the angus beef with foie gras. Finding the foie gras in the dish is a joy in itself. Ambiance is spot on, private rooms are replete with everything you'd need including your own toilet. Great for a big family gathering or a celebration with your friends and colleagues.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in Manila. Highly recommended I was invited for a lauriat and the 10 course meal was excellent. Service was difficult. I could see the severs were all frazzled even though our party had closed the restaurant for this party.
The Canton Road Restaurant of Shangri-La at the Fort Hotel serves one of the best dim-sum menus in the world. The 2011 vintage of Chateau Simard Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, the only St-Emilion available on the wine list, paired amazingly well with Shrimp Dumplings, Bamboo-Charcoal Scallop Dumplings, Beef Curry Buns, Bean Curd-Wrapped Shrimp Rolls, Fried Shrimp Wontons and Spring Rolls.
