The menu is the typical Swiss cuisine one could expect, which is what we were looking for but, the execution wasn't quite there. (rösti and chips were oily and not very satisfying). We were served an amuse-bouche of tuna on a buckwheat toast which was a nice gesture, but again wasn't a hit with our group. The service was attentive and friendly.
We have been quite a few times to the Restuarant Vallarosa in the past. It guaranteed a wonderful dinner in a warm and rustic atmosphere befitting a ski resort. But this time we were up for a disappointment. The food wasn't up to its usual and expected quality (the Wiener schnitzel wasn't crispy, the vegan option had lost its foamy sauce it just seemed like both had been kept warm for a while before they were served... . Service was good as always and the dessert (Crèpes Suzettes was excellent nicely prepared at our table with just the right amount of showmanship ; If you're looking for a nice evening with decent food the Vallarosa is just the place for you, if you want fine dining maybe somewhere else would be better suited to your needs.
Appetizers were delicious, we had high hopes for the mains. They were ok, good, but not 5-stars worth. A little bit too salty for our taste, plus the patty in the double burger was well done on one side, and medium rare on the other. All in all, it was a nice meal, plus the portions were huge. An appetizer and a main dish were a lot.
Very nice and good service and our food was perfect
As always, the food was delicious and the service was great. I've been eating here on vacation for years and have never been disappointed.
