Timing is imperative for this buffet. If you mess around and go at 3pm or even 2pm you'll likely get food that has set there for a while. 11-1 and 5-7 and you're ok!
I got a to go order of cream cheese wantons, a large egg drop soup, vegetable lo mein, and broccoli in brown sauce with the addition of bean curd (tofu). I am vegetarian so it is awesome to be able to add tofu to dishes for vegetarian protein. My husband ate almost all of the cream cheese wantons they came with a sweet and sour kind of red sauce. I had to fight him for the last 2. ;)The lo mein was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and packed in the box so tight it feels like an endless supply of noodles! You eat and eat and the box is magically still full.We also loved the broccoli and bean curd in brown sauce. Usually my husband is hard pressed to eat his veggies, but he was all about this broccoli. And of course the egg drop soup is my favorite, I love adding rice and the little crunchies to it.Everything was a great price for the massive amount of food I was given. And I can confirm now that the leftovers keep well and when heated are almost as good as they were day 1.The man at the desk and person who took my order over the phone were incredibly friendly. I am so excited to have found this little hidden gem in La Fayette. Vegetarian options: I got the broccoli in brown sauce and they let me add bean curd (tofu)
I give them 5 stars because they will always make whatever you want fresh. Yes May have less options than other Places But the food is delicious. Especially fresh
It's okay. Just wished they kept food coming Takes a while for them to replace the food when low
