Home Cut Donut - Lafayette

Stopped by this morning because the other donut shop was way too busy. So glad I did!!! I 'm not a fan of the thick donuts that seem to be the standard around here so I was pleasantly surprised that Home Cut Donuts serves light fluffy donuts, that melt in your mouth!! Heaven! The breakfast sandwiches are very very good as well! Just found my new go to donut shop!

We had a choice between this place and Cajun donuts. We decided to try Cajun donuts, but they were unexpectedly closed. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we came to this restaurant instead and found their donuts to be incredibly soft and delicious. They are not overly sweet, which is exactly how I prefer my donuts. The restaurant was closed when we arrived, but I called and the employee took our order and freshly made the donuts for us. While the donuts may be smaller in size compared to other places, the amazing flavor, texture, and reasonable price more than make up for it. Additionally, the restaurant has a drive-thru which adds to the convenience.

This is my favorite place to visit in the morning. The staff is friendly and the kolaches are delicious!
