I called in the shrimp enchilada dish as I always do at LaPagua. My husband picked up the food and once he brought it to me I began eating I noticed I had the wrong dish. I contacted the restaurant, spoke to the waitress Kristie, she acknowledged thatshe selected the wrong dish in error. Told me the manager would probably require that we bring the dish back to the restaurantto get the correct dish. I live in Abbeville, my husband drove to Lafayette to pick up the food and now they?re requiring us thebring the food back. I insisted on getting a refund, since it was their error and I didn?t eat the food. The waitress promisedthe manager would call me back. I of course ended up having to call them back and was told that I would receive the dish that Ipaid for if I went back to the restaurant to pick it up! I?ve never been to a restaurant where they made an error and weren?twill to fix their own error when presented with the problem. It?s like I was inconveniencing them on their own mistake. Theworst customer service ever. I will never eat at LaPagua ever again!!
Really gone down hill. Service was terrible. The food was sub par. Chips were stale, rice was just yellow instant rice, and the beans had 0 flavor. A quick lunch shouldn't have taken over an hour.
Not the cleanest establishment. The hostess wanted to seat us at a table that still had dirty dishes on it and did not wipe the table. When I asked her to clean the table, she came back with a small beverage napkin and wiped one little area. We had askedher to sit at a different table. The food: very yummy, but the dirty table had already killed part of my appetite. Service: slow. And the waitress charged my card to the wrong table, so we had to wait longer for a refund and corrected charge. Theyneed better training!
Servers are very nice. Their beans are cooked with bacon fat so, no many options for vegetarians, or vegans. The pupusas were tasteful and relished with marinated love. Not sure if the rice was cooked with chicken stock, however, having a friendly staffcan be a plus with special requests. Meat eaters will love the typical Salvadoran breakfast. Lovely place!
