We had a group of ten here on 15. September 2015 and the food, service and ambience were all great, especially the service. I had the tagliolini cacio e pepe and the veal chop Milanese and both were fantastic. The Cannoli bowls came empty with all the traditional fillings added as we saw fit. Nice touch. After dinner we were treated to free Limoncello and Marito. When we left the entire staff, we thanked, kissed the ladies and waved from the sidewalk as we drove away. What else could you ask? A must when in the Laglio region of Lake Como.

It sounds melodramatic, but the best nights my wife and I had in Italy were in Regina 131. The atmosphere is very warm and the menu had many fresh dishes. Because we are stereotypical tourists, we ordered the Inglese pizza in our first night. The pizza was phenomenal. It was one of the best pizzas I had in Italy. So okay, that's not what made the night big (big food is a big start). The headstone to a great experience is fantastic service. The staff was funny, friendly and made sure we had a wonderful time. Of course, we've made death, the next day the trek was back to the restaurant and had an even better time. In the night we had the foie grass that tasted well (I can't do it against other foie grass, it was the first one I had). She paired it with a gigantic pear **** and bruschetta (I probably don't do it enough justice) and it had a nice subtle taste. We had pizza again because this time we are a Margherita and Salami pizza. These were great, but not as good as the inglese. The staff remembered us and cared for us all night. It was one of the most unforgettable experiences we had in Italy, we had a wonderful time. If I have enough money to return to Lake Como, we'll go back. Until then, I hope others see that the 5 stars are as big as an experience.
