Jardim Do Farol - Lagoa

Really terrible. We arrived early with small children) and the restaurant was empty. Initially we were welcomed, but were rushed into selecting food, and it was made clear that we were interrupting the staff family meal time. Food was expensive €18 average for a main course) and we were served frozen mixed veg. They snuck an extra drink on the bill and charged €6 for some stale bread. Cash only. Avoid.

This is our second visit to the area and we had visited this restaurant 2 years enjoying the Cataplana and fish in particular. This restaurant is still run by the same family and the service is very good and the restaurant offers child friendly dishes. There was again a good range of fish on offer but the prices have risen a little and the cover has become less special with tinned fish pate and toasts and I agree with the previous review … why add tinned beans and carrots to the main course. Overall I would still recommend but with a few adjustments this could get back to 5 stars.

Amazing food and fantastic service. A perfect place to spend the last night of our holidays. The fish was brought out to us prior to ordering for us to choose and what a choice. I really can't recommend this place enough! Loved it!!
