Asia - Lagos

Overall, perfectly good Chinese food. The spicy Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken was very tasty. The service was good too and I found the prices acceptable. I also loved the soup.

My wife and I were looking for a pleasant, inexpensive, Chinese meal last night. Happily, Asia fitted the bill perfectly. We chose a set menu comprising 5 main dishes and rice, plus a bottle of house red and, including a generous tip, the bill came to just €40. So our inxexpensive requirement was met. The restaurant is on the upper floor of the Lagos Marina, just beside Portafinos restaurant. Our window seat overlooked the marina, and the Lagos skyline beyond. We were early, so the restaurant was deserted, all of which meant that the setting was perfect. That nicely met our 'pleasant ' requirement. Finally, and most importantly, the meal. We chose one of the set menus (though . the hosts were perfectly happy, at not additional cost, for us to change the spiced prawns for spiced chicken instead . It came on a big platter with a side of rice. And, it was very nice. Excellent? Perhaps not, but certainly very nice. (And, I 'm pleased to write, we had no problems with MSG dry mouths in the night. Overall, we certainly enjoyed our evening menu and we will definitely return. It wouldn 't be our choice for our anniversary or for a birthday celebration but it certainly fits the bill for a pleasant, inexpensive, Chinese meal. Enjoy!

You will find this restaurant in the Marina, upstairs.. so keep your eyes open for it. Very smart premises and the service is good. A good selection on the menu as you would expect for chinese food, which all of the dished are excellent .. very tasty. Loved the spare ribs and the beef dish....Well worth a visit and reasonable prices too....

A lovely position in the marina and a varied menu really got our expectations up but the meal was a huge let down.At 7pm we were the only customers but our starters came out 2 minutes apart. The main course was served in cold dishes which we ate off cold plates, consequently the last half of the meal was left as it was cold. On a good note the bottle of wine was OK. Maybe this restaurant is fine for some, but not us.

What a lovely restaurant this was to have a meal. Spotlessly clean beautiful white linen tablecloths and overall appearance very nice. Spacious and tables not up on each other, also cater for Babies and provide a Highchair. The main meals were very big and we did not go for starters thank God. There were four adults and we picked 1 Sizzling Pork, 1 Duck which my son said ' the best he ever had ', 2 Sizzling chicken dishes. We only went for one boiled and one fried rice which we all felt was enough. There was nothing left on anyone plates by the end of our meal. We also had 1 bottle of house wine which went down nice and easy. The staff were very pleasant and had time for the Baby which was nice. Also 2 Bailey 's were also had, this meal in total was very reasonable and came to 57.00 euro for us all. So well done to you on your superb meal in Lagos. Don 't be put off by it being upstairs as there is a lift which you can bring your buggy up in.
