Roux Creole Cuisine - Laguna Beach

I received a confirmation text from the restaurant, but when we arrived, we discovered that it was closed. OpenTable needs to ensure that locations are accurately updated in their system when they close. As a result, we found ourselves without a reservation on a Friday night, making plans for my partner's birthday. It was very disappointing.

More open tables, but I think they should be aware that Roux is no longer in operation! We arrived at Roux at our reservation time, bringing a friend along. The restaurant was dark and empty, and a woman outside informed us that the chef had taken most of the furniture and left! None of us had ever encountered something like this before, and we hadn’t even received a call from the restaurant to inform us.

Last night, we enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Roux. The staff was attentive and friendly, our meals arrived promptly, and the noise level was pleasantly low. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my hanger steak was cooked sous vide, making it perfectly tender and consistently delicious from edge to edge—an impressive detail. The steak was served on a bed of braided vegetables accompanied by a sweet potato puree, and it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.

That should die! perfect arome and execution. the atmosphere makes you feel like you are in new orleans. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be back soon.

Dining at Roux was simply fabulous! Highly recommended for great food and beautiful presentation!
