San Shi Go Laguna Beach

We have enjoyed the restaurant for years at the old location and the new ones. the food is really excellent, but the service has definitely slipped. the restaurant seemed understated, which is understandable. the staff is currently hard to work and do their best, but needs additional people to work it. we will be back, but hope that the service will be improved with additional employees.

Our reservation was at 19:30 clock was not taken until 9 place. the host was nowhere to find. had to ask for an update several times because nobody seemed to know what was going on. Besides, I have eaten in many sushi bars and in average paid about $150 for two, but we have paid to end up $350 so I would say it was super over price.

We had a wonderful dinner, ambiance was great , noise level was good until a very loud family came in towards the end of our dinner and no it wasn't the kids that were loud. Service was great and the food excellent.

San Shi Ho is great for all occasions, plenty of seating for a Laguna Beach restaurant and the patio with heat lamps is absolutely beautiful. Wait staff does an excellent job. Sushi is quality and some specials that add a twist to the regular sushi menu. Our family loves San Shi Go!

The greeting was professional allot of regulars go their so we new we had come to the right place, we sat inside and was well taken care of considering it was New Year’s Eve and the sushi was very good an all around great food and drinks Happy new year !!
