Good Choice Sushi - Laguna Niguel

Things have changed. Used to be amazing but unfortunately is now horrible

Update: I’ve started to really enjoy this place. I don’t think it’s a place to get sushi or sashimi, but their rolls are very tasty. Fun people behind the bar. I’d recommend it for tasty sushi rolls Not a fan, would not recommend to anyone. Good service, nice staff but the food is awful.

Used to be great; we went there for 15 years. Enjoyed Japanese Hawaiian food with both sushi Poké and live Hawaiian music on weekends. Now, no Japanese sushi chefs, no Japanese greeting, music or culture. At the risk of sounding racist, it’s now staffed with Hispanics, speaking Spanish (loudly to each other while ignoring diners playing loud Mexican music. (This is sushi, NOT tacos! No Japanese greeting or farewell. Floors have sticky rice debris that needs to be cleaned up, walls have holes in them where art was pulled off the wall the whole place needs a deep cleaning. The menu has changed, portions are smaller presentation is not as artistic. The worst thing this is this place used to be busy all the time, filled with locals a happy place, but not now. Won’t be going back.

Be aware. We ordered food via Uber eat app. Estimated delivery time was keep changing from 8to 9pm to 9:30….when my husband called this restaurant to cancel the order, they said it is not possible because they have a Uber driver assigned. Without any explanation, time was kept delaying and cannot cancel because of Uber driver is assigned? The driver had to wait there to pick up food for an hour.We are here to travel and have two little kids who expect the food and stay up until now. I am so upset.

This place is full of retards, espassialy manager, because he is not able to hire more stuff for busy days. I spent there more then 1 hour while waiting my online order.
