Bad: small space, everything is made of cheap plastic; extremely loud due to the bad construction you can hear any noise from the other rooms and outside. Windows cannot be opened, who builds hotels like this??? Then there was a horde of 100 college kids that only caused a huge jerk terrible. Bistro is like cheap cafeteria food completely forgotten and overpriced. One of the worst aspects of this hotel is that is roughly overpriced $320/night?? Give me a break. A good price would be $120 150. It is enough to say that we will not return.
We wanted to see places on the Northshore and the hotel was the perfect location. We could walk to the Polynesian Cultural Center and it was an easy drive to Kualo Ranch and the Waimea Valley. The staff were pleasant and the room clean. There was a pool plus private access to the beach (though be careful, it was a larger step down from the path to the beach).
Great location. Easy access to beautiful beach. Bistro food was excellent. Lobby atmosphere and entertainment was wonderful and pleasant. Staff very friendly. Short walk to Polynesian Culture Center. And the North Shore waves were spectacular!
This website has changed our perception of Marriott Hotels. Our room had stained carpets, dirty drapes and a hanging, shady sofa and chair. We had to ask for a shower curtain liner because the cotton was sealed over the bathroom floor. The power went out completely an evening of our 8-day stay, and the reception staff could not provide any information on re-establishment. My hebsand went to the central lobby to turn on for its breathing treatment. On a positive note everyone was pleasant and friendly during our stay, and the breakfast Bistro avocado Toast was delicious.
It is a beautiful hotel right next to the Polynesian center. Over the street from the beach. unfortunately no beach access directly from the hotel. But it's not fair to go and go. there is a mcdonalds right next to it in walking distance.
