Crystal's Downtown - Lake Charles

The Old Fashion burger comes with cooked onions mixed in, and it features a freshly made patty served on a small bun, reminiscent of the burgers I used to enjoy in my youth. The onion rings are fresh and delicious. Today, I tried the hamburger steak, and it was excellent!

The posted hours are accurate; they are open only from 10:30 AM to 2 PM. However, they no longer serve breakfast options. The floor was sticky, and the tables were dirty even though they had just opened. The onion rings were actually shoestring onion rings, which was fine, but they had a strong taste of oil. The burger was seasoned well, but it was soggy and difficult to eat like a proper burger. Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired.

Fantastic little grill! The burgers were cooked to perfection and made with fresh ingredients. The onion rings were thinly sliced and crispy. While the burger was slightly small for my appetite, I’ll definitely opt for a double patty next time.

Don?t eat inside unless you want to smell like grease and get your shoes sticky! The food was okay. Doesn?t seem like they season their meat, but the toppings added some flavor. Cute little shop. Will have to try their breakfast and see if itimpresses me more. We tried the hot bun burger and donut burger which were both eh but a lot of food for cheap!

This was at one time Mary Ann's Cafe and is now Cottons. This is one of the best little local hamburger joints in all the lake area. I really love to eat here and usually do at least 1 time a week. However, you will smell like the food cooked here tillyou get home if you go in to eat. Definitely check them out and order the onion ring side or I like to get the old fashionedwith fries. Really you can't pick anything bad from the menu.
