Feedback gevenEnjoyed our visit. Our room was fine but they were deep cleaning the rooms around us with bleach that seeped through. Bad enough to make your eyes tear.The Service was excellent from check=in to check-out.Food drinks: Our favorite is the Sports Bar for Catfish po-boys or burgers. Go to the back of the bar for table seating. Food was delicious and the servers were attentive. For breakfast, Johnny Sanchez. Ordered the eggs with bacon, potatoes, biscuit and the cinnamon roll with coffee. Excellent food and service. Everything was hot, cooked as ordered and served promptly. We have also ate at the Market which is good for a deli type meal.
Very disappointed that there was no room service. After a long day came in to a dirty room and no towels. Everything else was excellent.Food was excellent.Golden Nugget slots not paying so we definitely preferred casino here. Just disappointed that when we checked in we should have been told you MUST ask for your room to be cleaned. At these prices that's an automatic.Definitely should be fixed.Rooms: No fridge was a disappointment. But loved that they supplied all the shampoo conditioner hand cleanser and lotion in large bottles..Very nice!
I love losing my life savings here. I get to spend my money and lose it tax free! I prefer these slots to the ones at Golden Nugget, but the tables are about the same. I got a comped meal and I have to say, it was a delicious meal. All the bouncers and pit bosses in the casino are nice, but be weary of the waitresses in some of the restaurants.Food drinks: Johnny Sanchez(s? had a delicioso meal. The waffle was INCREDIBLE. To die for, even. In fact, it clogged my arteries (not literally but the chicken was not good. Not saying it was bad, but definitely did not care to eat it. In fact, I left 3 out of my 3 chicken tenders. And the waitress was poor. I mean just innatentive. I spilled some coffee and she never gave me napkins to clean it, she didn't bring my coke out, and she didn't bring us more butter for my waffle after I asked. In fact, she brought out the check 10 minutes before I had to ask her for boxes. (I'm still gunna throw the chicken out, but you know, being polite and not leaving the chicken here . 4/10 experience would DEFINITELY come again (because my experience in here is the embodiment of my luck this time around to L'auberge.
The L'Auberge is a very beautiful, very clean, very huge, casino resort. The rooms are spectacular. The lazy river (wading pool to go tubing in is very relaxing. And last but not least, the casino was awesome. Lots, and lots and lots of machines, everywhere u look there were machines! (It's a casino! The service is top tier!I gave the location 4 stars, only because for me and my friend it was a 2 hours and 49 minute drive and that's a LONG way for us, but it was a necessary trip. As for the property location itself in the Lafayette/Lake Charles area, it was perfect! Not a ton of traffic on the way there or the way back.IF THIS IS A FIRST VISIT FOR ANYONE, BE CERTAIN TO DOWNLOAD THE PENN PLAY APP BEFORE YOU GO TO RECEIVE YOUR PENN PLAY CARD!! DOING SO WILL SAVE YOU SO MUCH TIME AND IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE TROUBLE CREATING AN ACCOUNT, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL BE RIGHT READY TO HELP YOU! EXPERIENCE TALKING ABOUT THIS!! LOLSafety: I did feel safe while on the casino property, inside and outside. Parking lot was well lit. Oh and the valet is AWESOME!! I would definitely suggest using that service when arriving. Those guys are quick!
I called recently (July, 2023) to inquire about their seafood buffet that was open prior to the pandemic. I had to call several times to get an answer. When someone did pick up, she was short, curt, and impatient, as if I was inconveniencing her.When I asked about the buffet, I was told that it had closed “years ago.” When I informed her that the Facebook page for this place had conflicting information, I was told that they didn’t have an fb page and she didn’t know what I was looking at.I will pause right here. If you’ve ever been trained in customer service, you know that the ???? thing you want to do is argue with a customer. I suggested to her that she familiarize herself with the company’s web presence, because it was obvious she had no idea what’s on the internet. I can give a little grace for ignorance in this situation, but not for the attitude. Unacceptable. They need to get a ???????????? person to answer their phones.I ended the call at that point, but I’ll probably call back and speak with someone else to confirm the information provided is true. She didn’t seem knowledgeable or competent. Not a good look for this place at all.
