Stopped by based on referal from localsarrived at 1030 when it opened and then the flood gates opened and packed for lunch!! Started with their absolute
Yessss to the BEST boiler crabs & fried fish! We're from Houston & always have to drive 3 hours just for their boiled crabs for the past 7 years! The crabs
We've been eating here for many years when it was Crab Palace. The seafood always tastes fresh, esp the crabs and fish. During crawfish season, you can barely get a table as people flock here for crawfish and crabs! The only 2 items we've gotten that were not the best here were fried oysters and Shrimp/Crab Gumbo. The oysters weren't very fresh and over-battered and the Shrimp/Crab Gumbo has the smallest shrimp XXS) and zero crab meat so we would recommend not getting these: Waitresses/Waiters here are normally really good but unfortunately, this last one only came by once after the food was brought and then at the end to hand us the check while we had to ask 2 other waitresses to fill our drinks: I will add their Chicken and Sausage Gumbo is absolutely outstanding as one of the best we've ever tasted. And the Boudin Balls are also amazing! The Popcorn Shrimp Platter was plentiful and had great taste!
Seafood Palace was recommended to me by a local of Lake Charles. It did not disappoint. The small chicken and sausage gumbo was delicious, and the large shrimp and fish platter came with fries, 6 shrimp and 3 fish filets. I also opted for the fried okra. Everything was delicious.
