The Coffee Depot - Lake City

Such a change in staff..doesn't seem the same. Food still good. Nice bar and known for breakfasts and sandwiches. Wait and see

We enjoyed a family day along the River, stopped at Nelson Creamery, followed by a fun afternoon of play at Hok Si La park/beach. For dinner, we came to the Railhouse Grill. We had amazing service by the waitress, Cassandra! Great food! The Blue Cheese chicken salad and the bourbon burger were delicious. Our boys had a delicious kids pizza (they shared). Portions and prices were good/reasonable.

Food was okay. Burger was a little under cooked and you know what happens when you send it back. Very noisy inside. Poor acoustics. You can eves drop without trying. Service was good. Waitress was nice. Almost too nice but not bad. Prices are high but comparable to larger towns. I had a gift card that management would not honor. Since the new owner didn't update their software at the time of the restaurant purchase any old gift cards were wiped clean. So I lost the 25 dollars and had to pay my tab. I'm not mad just disappointed at how they handled it. They just said it doesn't register. I'm local and probably won't go back.

Spare yourself. Waited 2 hours for food. When this was brought to the boss ' attention he blamed it on us for making a reservation only an hour beforehand . Reservations are not even required. He was extremely rude, demeaning and took zero responsibility for the terrible service. Clearly the waitress didn 't submit our order. When the food arrived and we had to take it to go we found that the order was incorrect. The folks managing this restaurant would probably be happier in another industry.

Just enjoyed a great night at the Railhouse grill! Great food! Great service! They went out of their way to add that personal touch! Stop here for great food, great drinks, great coffee and some of the best cannolies in Southern MN.
