Greek House - Lake Country

Service was terrible. The staff were very nice but we waited almost 2 hours for our meal and they regularly forgot to bring our requests like water and napkins.Food was very expensive. We ordered two main meals, a child pasta for two kids to share, an appetizer, and a regular Caesar. The total was about $110. I consider sushi pretty expensive and our extravagant meals have never come close to this price.Food was tasty and atmosphere was just alright. No special views, mostly looking at the street.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu but the food from that menu isn't as good as the adult menu food.

This place has won me over with its combination of flavorful food, cozy ambiance, and superb value. I can't wait to return for another satisfying meal!

Fantastic! Visiting family in Lake Country this past weekend and they had pre-arranged a reservation. They frequent this restaurant when they can and had only rave reviews so we were excited to try it. It did not disappoint. I had the kalamari dinner and my husband had the beef souvlaki. He is very discerning when it comes to his food and he was in heaven. Every bite he said was so good. I couldn't agree more. They, unfortunately, had their oven breakdown and so it was a bit of a wait but so worth it! My husband and I spent many years in hospitality and I was a GM for several years before our current careers and so we know what they were dealing with that night. It was packed. Phones ringing off the wall. We also had the pleasure of meeting Cristos on the way out. He is a bigger-than-life personality. So warm and the best stories! We were invited to sit with him and shared a bottle of wine. For a moment or two, I felt like I was in Greece enjoying a glass of wine on a patio with an old friend. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend. Good to note their portion sizes are huge so bring an appetite.

It’s wonderful when pieces of community and culture remain intact when the rest of the world feels unstable. The Greek House is as good or better than ever.
