The Water Place Neveria - Lake Elsinore

I absolutely love this place, especially their ice cream shakes! My kids are also big fans of the raspados and the corn with Hot Cheetos.

Bomb raspados are our go-to treat for satisfying our Diablito cravings. The Tostilocos are tasty, and we also tried their esquites, which were decent. Their ice cream flavors—lemon, mango, and tamarindo—are incredibly delicious!

I visited this place because my daughter wanted to get an ice cream scoop. While I was there, I noticed they offered elote (Mexican street corn) and decided to give it a try. The cashier told me it would take about five minutes, but then I watched her scoop the corn into a cup and put it in the microwave for eight minutes. I've always seen corn being cooked in a fresh pot of hot water, not in a microwave. I generally try to avoid microwaving food, so I asked her if the corn was being microwaved. She replied, “No, no, no! We cook it in a pot, but we warm it up in the microwave for six minutes.” I wasn't pleased with that answer, so I politely told her I was anti-microwave. Unfortunately, she completely ignored me and started talking to another customer. She handed me back my money without acknowledging my presence, which I found really rude. I will definitely not be returning to this place.

The ice cream selection here surpasses that of Thrifty. They offer fresh water and ice as well. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The people here are very friendly. Besides buying alkaline water, I sometimes treat myself to tostilocos or raspados. They also offer fresh fruit, which is delicious. Thank you!
