Even if this is the only restaurant available to guests of the moraine lake (without half an hour drive), the dining room fits the quality of the lodge. the view of the sea was excellent, the service very attentive. for example, when they were from the salate of the day, we expressed disappointment because we wanted the roasted pfirsiche. our server came back and said the cook had flowed on the salad from the cheese, but if we wanted, he could prepare the salat with another cheese, and it was great! my trout was tender and juicy and the seafood pata dishes of my manne were more than he could be finished. they also served regional wines. Finally, the ambiente of the beautiful space and the small number of diners made it an intimate and special occasion.
Eating was excellent, but I was surprised when they told us that the red wines were kept at room temperature. for such a place they must have a cellar.
Moraine lake is an experience! when you go to the lake louise area, visit the lake, the lodge, and the restaurant are all well worth. much more special than lake louise. I will focus on the restaurant for this review as it is for open table. it was a particularly pleasant surprise, as most holiday huts are more about their ambiente, less about their eating. the moraine lake lodge dining room was a delicious take. the ambiente was certainly present, but not by the fantastic dinner. my man and I began to share a fresh, tasteful salate. he had a beautifully prepared and tasteful tylloin. I had trout that was moist and perfectly cooked (not overdue as the norm at park lodges seems to be). both entrees had excellent complementary veggies. we have finished with an unusual apple that had a lot of fresh berries. in short, eating was fresh, creatiw and well prepared. as we are out of seattle, it's a long way to dinner. but we talked about coming back because the place, including the restaurants, was so special. a note for breakfast in the restaurant next morning. while competent and good, it was not almost that interesting. also the service was not attentive. still, well above the norm for a holiday accommodation.
Dining room was very cold at breakfast. Fortunately we sat at a table next to the fire at dinner.
