On our second night, we both enjoyed Bisonburgers with side salads. The burgers were beautifully presented and cooked perfectly, topped with boar bacon, a thick slice of tomato, pickled onions, and Ross Mayo. The side salad was also well-prepared, with mixed greens, spiral-cut vegetables, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers. For our third day, we decided to try a salad bar option not listed on the menu. It was a delightful surprise, costing $15 CAD and including access to the dessert bar and coffee or tea. The service here was outstanding, with friendly and efficient staff. We even overheard a woman asking if they had a children's menu, and the waitress happily accommodated her request. It's a mystery why this restaurant only has three stars.
When you stay at the Crossing Resort, your options are limited to the three offers of the location: Cross Café, Parkway Pub or Mount Wilson Restaurant. We choose the later, as their menu was promising. We shared smoked duck as an appetizer then went for the Wasabi Tuna Burger and the mushroom vegetarian dish. That's what we've done with their chocolate cookies. Everything was good and quite expensive given the situation. We sat at the window so the view to the south was quite spectacular.
Had no dinner there because of another review, breakfast is fine tho. Better than Hilton. But we have breakfast as free with the stay.
I 've had better food in highway truck stops. We had a large group so they offered us a buffet. The soup was okay and the fried chicken was better than it looked, but I didn 't dare try the sandwiches. They looked like they had been made days ago. The review titled Fine Dining must have been placed in the wrong place, or the writer was high on something because this is not a fine dining establishment.
