Moon Star Asian Bistro - Lake Luzerne

There is a fantastic Asian restaurant in the countryside that is truly a hidden gem. The wonderful and welcoming staff is a valuable asset to the local community.

I never would have expected to find amazing Chinese food by the lake, but Moon Star exceeded my expectations. The hot and sour soup was perfectly spicy and acidic, just as it should be. The baked dumplings, pork sticks, and all other appetizers were delicious, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The General Tso's chicken is always a favorite of mine. My friends and I visit this restaurant and try a new special dish every week. Plus, it's only 10 minutes away from Lake George, making the journey well worth it.

I ordered seven chicken wings, but they were not enough for six people. The wings were delicious, but the portion size was too small for our group.

Of all the Chinese restaurants I have ever visited, this is the worst! We ordered roast pork with broccoli and sesame chicken combination plates, which come with fried rice and egg rolls. The rice is not fried, it's fluffy with a couple of pieces of chicken scattered in. The egg rolls are tiny, not crispy with very little inside. Wonton soup is decent, but wontons are hard! When I called to complain, I was told that's how they make the fried rice. No vegetables added That's just how they make it When I said something about the egg rolls, I was told the same thing. There are no other Chinese restaurants in the vicinity of Lake Luzerne. I suppose that's how they get away with sub- standard food. If you enjoy good Chinese food, don't go there!
