We ordered Mocha Frappes and they were watery and so full of chocolate, we had to throw them away. Starbucks needs to train these kids much better than they do. Especially when $15.00 is the cost of two of these drinks. Don’t go there and expect your drink to be right.
I have never been someone who typically leaves reviews, and in fact, this is the first time I am doing so. The experience I had today at Starbucks was extremely disrespectful, and I would feel terrible if I didn't address this behavior. My friend and I went for a quick breakfast, but unfortunately, we were met with a poor attitude right from the start. Being a service worker myself, I understand the challenges of the morning shift, but consistently sulking and scoffing at our orders crossed the line. We patiently waited for our food and drinks. However, even though I specifically mentioned the pumps in my order, the barista brushed off her confusion and simply nodded. When I received the incorrect drink and politely asked for it to be corrected, she immediately started arguing with me. She insisted that there was no syrup in my drink to begin with and criticized me for requesting two pumps. The girl who's shift ends around 10:15-10:30 at the Harris Teeter Starbucks needs an attitude check and a refresher of the menu. As a result of this experience, my friend and I have decided that we will only return to Harris Teeter for grocery items and not for anything else.
This review isn 't a reflection on starbucks itself, but the employee who my friend and I encountered. To start I never leave reviews with this being my first one and I am not one to complain but given my friend and I both work in customer service we both felt the need to speak up. For starters, my friend got a drink and a sandwich and due to dietary restrictions my friend nicely asked if one thing from the sandwich could be removed and the teenage girl who was working at 10:15 this morning rudely replied and said i guess . My friend also got a passion tea lemonade and asked for two pumps of sweetener(which she also paid extra for) and the girl rudely shook her head and said anything else . When it was my turn to order I was so appalled by this behavior that I genuinely stuttered to order as i 've never in my life encounter a service worker so upfront and rude. I ordered a ham and swiss croissant and was asked if i wanted it heated and I said yes please and was once again rudely disregarded as if it wasn 't her job to do so. When it came to waiting, there was maybe 5 customers and everything took a while but given me and my friend have both worked as servers we understand stress and were both patient. However, my friends drink came out wrong and when she politely asked the girl if she could correct it, the girl accused her and said the drink doesn 't come with syrup and gave her attitude and then proceeded to take the drink and roll her eyes. As someone who has worked as a server, I would be fired for this behavior. We will never be returning to this starbucks.
Located inside the Harris Teeter, it’s great to have an easy coffee option in this part of town, but…it was hard to find anyone who was working the counter (though it was open). The store manager kindly paged someone, who was then apologetic for not being there. Coffee drink was fine…though had to explain it to the barista (it was an au lait, so not overly complicated…but maybe not something ordered often at this location).
