Buddy's On The Beach - Lake Odessa

I have only been there for dinner, never for bowling. Buddy's has a great staff and great food.

First time here, Misty our waitress was excellent!! We both had the cod fish basket. Cod was excellent and big portions. Fries were excellent and three times more than we could eat . Misty recommended if we had an air fryer they were good to reheat. Definitely would recommend Buddies we will be back worth the drive from Lansing.

Look forward to eating here whenever we come over this way, but our recent visit was awful. Ordered appetizers that came out cold and then a meat lovers pizza with mushrooms. Waitress let's us know they only made a mushroom pizza so instead of remaking it correctly they just threw the meat topping on a cooked mushroom pizza. To top it off they put some type of Salami on it and when questioned about it was told it was their pepperoni which we had another pizza with pepperoni on it and this was not the same stuff. Definitely disappointed with the visit.

Buddy on the Beach is essentially Lakewood’s Applebee’s with Bowling. The big difference is that there is clearly a hometown feel. The servers and staff get to know you and you feel like family. The food is consistently good. They always have amazing daily specials like Fried Chicken Wraps or seasonal specials like Cabbage and Corned Beef. Once seated service is quick. The servers often go of their way get you what you need. My only concern is that there is occasionally there is a lack of On Stage and Backstage awareness. Certain conversations and opinions should not be shared around customers and guests. You can be authentic as an employee without losing professionalism or oversharing. People are always watching and listening. It’s an area thar needs little focus. Overall it shouldn’t take away from your experience because the cooks are pretty amazing.

Great food, great service, sat down right away at noon on a Saturday.
