Jaxson's - LAKE PLACID

This is a fantastic restaurant! I've always enjoyed my dinners here, and I've never had a bad experience.

The chicken Philly sandwich was very good, but the house made chips that came with the dish tasted stale like they were fried in old oil. It should be served with fries.

Great place. We drive from Okeechobee to eat there and it was great every time.

The food and service were mediocre. The tap water didn't taste good at all. I ordered the homemade chips but it seemed like I received the bottom of the bag, as they were just small, broken pieces. However, there is a nice screened area at the back with a slight view of the lake.

The special was a delicious Habanero shrimp po' boy served with fries. It was quite impressive in size for the price—definitely large enough to share! The atmosphere was friendly, with the bar bustling and everyone seeming to know one another, even at 1 PM. They are currently remodeling their outdoor dining area, but there is still plenty of seating inside. I would definitely return if I have the chance during my travels.
