La Botana - Lake Wales

In the wall, but food was surprisingly fresh and delicious. Place is mainly a supermarket. Not really a restaurant, but you can order food in a window in the back.

Had a great meal, tried diff menu and appetizer, tacos, tostada and empanada, are my favorite!

This place is great to sit-in and eat or order out a meal. The food was super fresh and very tasty. The portions are excellent and they don't skimp on anything! Definitely will be stopping here anytime we are in the area!

OMG! This is some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten in my life, and I just moved from Texas! The beans and rice were so good, the beef was so good, the chicken, the Chile rellenos, the enchiladas, the tamales ... Just EVERYTHING was amazing! The flavors were developed so well! The balance was perfect, it was beautifully plated in its simplicity, but the tastes were complex. The balance of acidity, heat ... just everything was so good! I'll certainly become a repeat customer!

I ordered the enchiladas, which came with rice and beans, along with a steak and cheese empanada. The food was served hot and tasted fresh, almost like it was homemade. The portions were generous for the price, especially compared to other Hispanic restaurants I've visited. The enchiladas came with a variety of sauces to choose from, and the empanada was delightfully cheesy. My only complaint was that the beans were a bit too salty. Overall, I'll definitely be returning!
