We only stopped in for coffee but the breakfast menu looked good. We would normally forage breakfast at the markets but a sub zero start to the day made that somewhat daunting. A very pleasant place to visit while you are checking out a number of Ballarat's iconic attractions.
Pipers is a wonderful place to visit. Great menu and very friendly staff. We happened to visit the lake in the early afternoon of a bitterly cold Sunday. Following a walk around decided to have a coffee and we were glad we did. Warm ambient overlooking a magnificent setting and the coffee was just joy. Highly recommend this café to all visitors....the locals certainly know about it. Unfortunately they are not open for dinner.
We chance upon the cafe while strolling along the Lake Wendouree and decide to pop in for breakfast. Glad we did because i had the nicest Big Breakfast ever! Portion is great, enough to share between me, my husband and 2years old.
I visit Pipers regularly after walking around the lake. The staff are always helpful and their muffins and savoury scones are to die for.
Lovely setting overlooking the lake, staff friendly and will return another time for a second pick of the extensive menu
