Quickly becoming our go to favorite, however the noise level was such that it was almost impossible to have a conversation with people in our party except for the one right next to you. Not sure how they can remedy that... even the bar was shout level. But the food and service were very good.
We had a birthday celebration on the day after Valentines in high season — a trifecta — and could barely get into a restaurant. We did get in to Calleros and had a very nice time. This is a casual steakhouse so the vibe is decidedly different from many other steakhouses. The wait staff, for example, are very familiar, informal. The menu was varied, food well prepared. I believe they were tapped out, service-wise, the wait staff were scampering about. I can’t lie, we did wait considerably for our orders. (At one point, the wait staffer brought out steak knives w the promise of food. There was a very on-point manager watching over everything and everyone was trying but they were just really busy. It is perhaps better experienced with a lengthy meal on a slow day and lots of lingering. I’m just not sure. But we loved our steaks, the wine was good, desserts indulgent, staff kind.
We had a delicious steak dinner with excellent service from our waiter John. The manager Jerry was also very attentive and kind. Only criticism is the high noise level
The worst evening I have experienced in a very long time. the noise level was the worst, we could not here anyone at our table talk. The food came out warm,(not hot). Salad was just thrown on a plate. Never saw a server to fell up water or ask if we wished another drink. With no parking they had valet that charged, with only one person serving. A nightmare that I can't forget fast enough.
