The New Crave Cafe - Lake Zurich

I was really excited to try the new Mexican restaurant in Lake Zurich. We arrived early and had our pick of tables. The decor is fantastic—full of vibrant colors and interesting items on the walls. The house-made chips are fantastic, and the salsas are equally impressive. I wanted to order an avocado burrito, but sadly, the avocados weren't ripe yet. When the owner stopped by, I mentioned it to her, and she was very apologetic, offering to comp us the next time we visited. That was a great way to handle the situation! We ended up ordering the nachos, which were enormous and delicious, and the quesadillas, which were also excellent. Every dish was bursting with flavor and exceptional. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back!

The service was outstanding—extremely friendly and attentive. The ingredients were top-notch, and the portions were generous. They even provide only high-quality sugars at the tables. It felt like dining at your aunt's house, but with a real talent for cooking. We will definitely be back, although we need to figure out what to try next and maybe pick up the pace a bit! The only downside is that the exterior location and signage of this cozy restaurant don't truly reflect the incredible food and overall ambiance.

This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we had a great experience. We arrived around 4:45 PM and were warmly welcomed with friendly smiles and quick service. Although the waitress didn't have any apple juice for my child, she kindly offered a juice box from the refrigerator, which I appreciated. The food was outstanding! The salsa was a bit tangy for my taste, but the chips were absolutely fantastic. I don’t want my comments on the salsa to be seen as negative—I just don't handle spices well. My wife, on the other hand, absolutely loved the spicy salsa. The prices are very reasonable for the generous portions we received. Overall, my family was very pleased with both the food and the service, and we definitely plan to return.

We were here for the first time yesterday and were very happy with our order. My friends both got the order of chicken tacos and loved them. Zilantroreis was very good! I had the cattlefajita scarf and it was well prepared. The quality of food was very good and fresh. We have experienced excellent customer service. The staff was very friendly and really ensured that our takeout did not go through the thorough bagging.

Guys, this place is next to Trader Joe's in Lake Zurich! Google lost me at first. My first impression of this place is that it's not your regular Mexican restaurant by any means. It's a charming rustic and tastefully decorated space with lots of vintage styled pieces. The music is just right and not too loud! The customer service is excellent, great job to the person serving lunch. He greeted me with a big smile and was helpful. The chips are homemade and the salsa is a fiery roasted tomato base with tomatillo. The best part is they serve free coffee: I will be doing more lunches here.
