The Olive Tap - Lake Zurich

We absolutely love this place! They offer a wide variety of olive oils, balsamic vinegars, spices, packaged soups, salt grinders, and salad dressing bottles that allow you to mix and match as you like. I could keep going on about all the amazing products they have! On top of that, the staff is fantastic! If you find yourself in Long Grove, be sure to check it out! This place has an amazing selection of high-quality oils and vinegars. The balsamic reservoir, a rich, syrupy sweet balsamic, brings back memories of a favorite I bought in Florence, Italy. I also love the Sicilian lemon balm and a variety of other options. The roasted garlic oil is simply the best I’ve ever tried. Their website features many fantastic recipes as well. The staff is incredibly helpful, and they offer beautiful gift baskets, herbs, salts, and various related gifts, including pasta. You could easily spend a lot of time there sampling and discovering new ways to cook with these delicious products. My kitchen is now filled with bottles from the Olive Tap, and I can confidently say it's a stop worth making!

Whenever I visit Long Grove, I always make a stop at Olive Tap. It's a fantastic place to sample a wide range of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. While they have traditional flavors, they also feature some truly unique blends. Every friend I've brought along has raved about the dark chocolate balsamico vinegar, with most purchasing a bottle for themselves. It boasts a rich chocolate flavor that isn't overpowering, and when paired with the tangy balsamic, it creates a wonderfully unique combination that complements meats and fruit salads beautifully. The service is excellent; the staff members are very friendly and offer great advice on how to use the oils and vinegars, as well as excellent pairing recommendations.

Love their olive oils. We no longer live in Illinois, so I have ordered my favorites, Persian Lime, via their website. It is very good on fish and in salad dressings!

If you love to cook and eat quality food, this place is for you. Before shopping here the first time I couldn't imagine why someone would go to a store with just olive oil and vinegar but after shopping here for years I can't imagine NOT buying these quality products here regularly. Olive oils and vinegars are not created equal...the fresh olive infused oils and vinegars are fantastic for salads, cooking, baking or even for finishing dishes. (I add spicey parmesan garlic as a finishing oil to almost everything! We love the variety of balsamic vinegars and glazes and use them to make outstanding salads, bruschettas and even desserts.
