The League Kitchen Tavern - Lakeway

This place was incredible! We wanted to stay for a while because everything was so good. We went with another couple and tried the fried pickle chips (delicious!), the float in a deck (a croissant-wrapped delight that was so flaky!), the meat-loaf burger, fried pork bites, and a fried chicken sandwich. Everyone loved their choices, and the service was fantastic! As a bonus, we received a free chocolate cake since it was our first visit. I highly recommend this place—definitely a 10/10!

The main course came out quickly. My wife ordered a southern-style hamburger cooked medium, which was really good. I opted for the fried chicken pork in jalapeño sauce, and it was hands down the best combination I’ve ever tasted—tender, juicy, and flavorful. Absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to send mine back after just a few bites. They offered to make me another one, but I declined. Another member of our party had the stuffed cabbage rolls and mentioned they were good, while someone else tried the classic fish and chips, which I also tasted and found to be very good. Overall, we had a lovely visit, and I will definitely be back to give them another chance with the pork chop.

I loved this place. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I loved the atmosphere and what impressed me the most was how well the staff worked together. I had the deviled eggs for an appetizer loved them! The pork chop was excellent it had this awesome gravy. I even had room to try their dump cake which was delicious. It wasn't too rich and the cake was warm with bits of toffee that melted in my mouth perfectly.

This was my first time dining here, accompanied by friends who are quite familiar with the restaurant. The waitstaff were very friendly. The main course was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the two appetizers fell short. We ordered the fried pickles and the meat leaflets, both highly recommended by our server. However, the meat leaflets were disappointing; they appeared sad and stale, with only five pieces served, and the meat felt old and only lukewarm. As for the fried pickles, they were a very small portion and definitely did not live up to the hype.

Service was great, thanks melanie! I don't think I'd order the Patty melt next time. I liked it well done, but it was a bit too good at putting some done and tasted bitter. but burger, spinat dips and wobbles were all great. they also have the most beautiful dump cake we've ever seen. very tasty too.
