Ordered a bulogi bowl and gozya. The gozya was fairly bland. If it wasn't for the sauce, it would not have had much flavor. The bulgolgi bowl did not have much bulgolgi in it. For the $15 price tag, you are paying a lot for a bowl that is mostly rice.
I love ramen and this place is closest to my house. It is decent, not horrible or anything, but it is way overpriced for what you get and the staff is usually rude. I've had the Udon 3 times and it's been decent. I love Tonkotsu Ramen so I am sad they don't have that here. I would recommend going someplace else.
Tried it twice. The first time the pork smelled rancid. I love ramen so I went back a couple months later. The only difference was the place was dirtier. Looks like they do mostly to go business now. That's probably why my ramen came out cold.
As someone who used to go to the 16th St Menya location frequently, this place is a pale imitation. The ramen was lackluster. I can barely describe it, but it tasted a bit like the frozen ramen you can buy and heat up very disappointing and not true to the Menya I know and love. Even the pork buns seemed more heated up than fresh made.I went on a peak day/time and it wasn't busy. All this said, the service was excellent! Our waitress was very attentive even though I think she was the only one working tables. The food was 2 stars, but the service was a 4 at least. Save yourself a trip here and go to the original location.
